In 2013 I started a new journey. A journey to fight for justice, and you can read all bout it in this blog. It is a journey where I have been challenged to see farther than my nose, and to feel deeper in my soul.
After a year serving as a Community Relations Fellow with International Justice Mission in Bolivia – all 2013 – I have received and invitation to continue working with this incredible organization, but this time in Guatemala. I will be serving as the Strategic Relations Fellow this year, and I am excited to see what God has in store for this time. It has been and incredible adventure so far. And starting in March I will be moving from La Paz -Bolivia to Guatemala City to serve with a team that seeks justice for children that have been victims of sexual assault.
Before joining IJM , I have worked as a consultant manager of Communications and Press for the Spanish Cooperation Agency for International Development (AECID). Previously, I worked in Communications for World Vision Bolivia. In those positions, I worked as a liaison between communities, the local and national government and the media. Coordinating and hosting trips for international guests were also part of my responsibilities, a part that I really enjoy!
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communications with a minor in Public Relations and Management of Communication Process. I have also served at my church with the worship team and I have been leading youth groups since high school. After graduation, I have volunteered as a translator for short-term missions trips with Project Helping Hands. And let me tell you, these trips changed my life.
